1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PDFly ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Description of Service
PDFly provides cloud-based PDF processing tools including, but not limited to, merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, watermarking, password-protecting, and text-extracting PDF documents. The Service uses a per-operation wallet model, with each tool priced separately. No subscription or recurring fee is charged.
3. User Accounts
You may explore the tools before signing in, but an account is required to process and download files. Your account maintains your wallet balance and operation history across sessions. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
4. Payments and Wallet
Each tool displays its operation price before processing begins. PDFly reserves the relevant wallet amount during processing and captures it only after a valid result is ready. If processing fails, the reservation is released and your available balance is restored. Available top-up methods and any applicable purchase terms are shown before confirmation.
5. Refund Policy
Failed operations automatically release the reserved wallet amount and do not create a completed charge. If you believe an operation or wallet entry is incorrect, contact support with the operation details so that we can review it. Any applicable top-up or refund terms are shown before a purchase is made.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to process, store, or transmit material that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or infringes on third-party intellectual property rights. You may not use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without prior written consent. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms without notice.
7. Data Privacy and File Retention
Uploaded source files are scheduled for deletion when processing finishes; abandoned uploads have a 24-hour fallback expiry. Generated results remain available in My files for 7 days after processing and are then deleted automatically. We process document contents only to complete the operation you request and do not use your files for model training. Files use HTTPS transport, private object storage, and time-limited signed download links.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain all intellectual property rights to documents you upload. By uploading a file, you grant PDFly a limited, temporary, non-exclusive license to process that file solely for the purpose of completing your requested operation. This license terminates automatically when the file is deleted from our systems.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDFly and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the 30 days preceding the claim.
10. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service and to update operation pricing. Material updates will be displayed through the Service where reasonably possible. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Service or pricing.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law that applies to the Service and your use of it. Any dispute will be handled by a court or other dispute-resolution process with authority under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
